Public transport

Almost all means of transport in Vienna are barrier-free. Every station has barrier-free access (lift or ramp). In almost all stations, tactile guidance strips help blind and visually impaired people find their way to stairs, escalators and lifts. We recommend the Wien Mobil app, as it provides real-time information. It not only shows which means of transport are barrier-free, but also whether a lift at a station is currently out of service. In addition, under Settings > Mobility, the app can be set to display only barrier-free departures and routes.
